LDI 2006 20 - 22 October 2006 USA - Las Vegas Convention Center Events   33e Internationaal Filmfestival Vlaanderen-Gent (B) 11 tot en met 21 oktober 2006 Met 169 langspeelfilms en 65 kortfilms, alles samen goed voor 19468 minuten film en 596 voorstellingen verspreid over 14 dagen, wordt Gent van 11 tot en met 21 oktober opnieuw omgetoverd tot filmstad. De 33ste editie van het Filmfestival Gent focust op filmgrootheid Stanley Kubrick, brengt hommage aan de Belgisch-Franse regisseuse Agnès Varda en lokt meer dan 150 gasten of ‘filmtalent’ naar de Arteveldestad. Het festival begint dit jaar eigenlijk al een weekje vroeger, met de opening van de Stanley Kubricktentoonstelling in het Caermersklooster op 4 oktober.  Recent Projects and Events   IBC 8 - 12 September 2006 Netherlands - Amsterdam RAI   Established in 1967 as a showcase for broadcasting technology, IBC attracts 40,000 attendees from 120 countries annually. On the show floor are 1,000 exhibitors including every major supplier of technology for the creation, management and delivery of entertainment content. PLASA 2006 10 - 13 September 2006 United Kingdom - Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London   90th Four Days Marches, Nijmegen, 2006 The B-10 ledwall was placed one day in Bemmel, the 18th of July. The Four Days Marches were cancelled by the organisation. With great regret the Organisation have decided at the end of the first marching-day to cancel the 90th Four Days Marches. The Organisation have done so after careful discussion with the local authorities, the medical services as well as police and fire department. 18th July, on the first walking day, two walkers have died. Because the temperatures rose steeply in the second half of the afternoon, hundreds of people became sick. Both walkers and spectators.
